How to have fun on New Years

If you've always been curious about how to make merry on New Years eve, here's how:

- eat an early mexican food dinner with rambunctious children
- go home and write a 2 minute song to perform in 45 minutes at open mic night
- help the DJ unload his lights at the cozmic cafe
- be drinking a beer when the open mic crowd chants for you
- reluctantly come on stage and sing your ridiculous song about 2009
- be surprised at how much fun it is to perform again
- get another beer and start mingling
- mingle and drink
- buy PBRs for 19 and 20 year olds
- Begin: dancing. DANCE
- dance dance drink dance
- go outside for a break and gaze at the sparkling blue moon
- go back to dance floor and stand on Jamie VanCamp's back
- dance on his shoulders as well
- request to announce the countdown to 2010
- stand on stage over everyone holding a wall clock and shouting
- count down to new years and then get lots of cheek kisses
- keep dancing until the place empties out
- walk home with your sister talking about the love of being alive
- get home and eat: enchiladas, bean dip and chips
- set up blankets in the music room, put on pajamas
- say last-moment-of-night goodnights
- lay head down and fall asleep..

pretty foolproof layout for a good new years eve.

I wish I could have been there to witness the fun and talent that was had. I'm glad you stayed here in Pville for NYeve Mikie and had yourself such a great time. It was very sad to take you down to the train, take a couple of pictures, and wave goodbye. Proud to be your dad.
